Car history: |
1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427ci 4-Speed. Car is original Lemans Blue! Garage Kept. Original Ralley Wheels. T-Tops. Removable Rear Window. Original Dash and Gauges. 4-Speed Manual Transimission shifts good. Good Paint. Big Block motor. Side Pipes. Vehicle Condition: I have driven it myself for a couple of hours today. She does not overheat and seems to run and shift ok. She does pull to the left and needs an alignment for sure. Interior is below average. She will need original seat covers, door panels, carpet, etc... The paint is decent for a weekend cruiser. I would not repaint her right away. But over all, this 427 4-Speed could use a full restoration. She does start and drive fine, but there is an exhaust leak, so it is fairly loud. The oil pressure is over 40psi and I was told by the previous owner that the motor was just rebuilt. He had this car for over 17 years and has not driven it at all in over 5 years. When I went to pick it up, it was inside his garage. This is not a restored corvette, this car needs to be restored. This is an original 427 4-Speed 68 Vette. It is not a complete basket case. It does run and drive and is ok to take out now, but to make it a nice show car will require some work. October 5, 2009
